Castle Slam

Who is this guy?

My name is Jessup Ammeen and I make games. Most of my experience is in digital development in multiple game engines as well as physical games. I graduated from DePaul University’s class of June 2019 with a degree in Computer Game Development and minor in Animation. Long term goal is to become the creative director of a mid-sized studio but for now, I’m making fun, engaging experiences while looking to join a studio. Enjoy the work I’ve made available and feel free to reach out if I am someone you want to work with.

What has he made?

University

During my time at DePaul University’s College of Digital Media, I created digital and physical games as design assignments for various classes. My program also allowed me to study subjects from other mediums such as film editing and multiple types of animation. Three major example from that era are Neato Veto, A Place to Call my Own, and The Shadow that Remains. Unfortunately, Shadow is an ongoing project with DePaul Original Game Studio that I had to leave upon my graduation but below will be included a link to the project’s current site. For that project, I worked as a paid research assistant doing design work. Feel free to click the links for Veto and Place to give them a download!

In Development

My current project is a game called Castle Slam that can be best summarized as “fantasy Angry Birds but focused on ricochet puzzles.” I recently presented it at the Hoosier Game Expo where event attendees were free to play the game and provide feedback. The project began development on September 30th, 2019 and is targeting PC and Mobile platforms. My other work consists of a table-top RPG project that began as an independent study and is now being continues for future release. It is tenatively called Lore-Masters and modifies the Apocalypse World system to try and teach about what it means to "create history." Free copies were also provided to attendees of the Hoosier Game Expo.

Can I play it?
